Statement on Schooling Shows
SCDCTA recognizes schooling shows in dressage and combined training and offers Year end Awards for competitors in SCDCTA recognized divisions (intro to grand prix in dressage, amoeba to advanced in combined training). SCDCTA medals can also be earned with scores from SCDCTA schooling shows or USDF shows.

1 Information from SCDCTA

The board has instituted a monitoring process to provide recourse in the event that an approved judge received multiple complaints from competitors and/or show managers. We all have a vested interest in providing appropriate feedback in a professional manner, including minimizing negative critiques when possible, to help further our sport. Nowhere is this more important than at the grassroots, schooling show level! Complaints will be brought to the Board’s attention and if action is warranted, such will be voted upon at that time. For the record, this is not a problem we have had in the past; we are just instituting a policy in the event a problem should arise. SCDCTA Competition Evaluation Form

Complaints, compliments, and comments about judges should be sent to Toi Trent

1 ATTENTION SCHOOLING SHOW ORGANIZERS:

We have important information for those of you who offer Dressage Seat Equitation classes at your shows. Please note the following, per USEF rules:

The policy for dressage seat equitation is to post riders’ scores, but riders are not allowed to see the judges score card/comments. Riders also may not get a copy of the judge’s score card/comments, even if the other riders’ comments are blacked out.

Please follow this guideline at your SCDCTA recognized shows as well.

EVENTING POINTS: Please send corrections to your schooling show points to EventingPoints@scdcta.com.
